Return, Refund, and Modification Policy for SendMyCake.com

Thank you for choosing SendMyCake.com. We are dedicated to providing the freshest cakes, flowers, chocolates, gift items, and plants to your loved ones in Guwahati.

Because our core products are fresh, perishable, customized, or temperature-sensitive, we enforce a strict NO RETURN, NO REFUND, AND NO CANCELLATION policy once an order is placed and confirmed. We do, however, allow limited modifications to the delivery schedule and address under the specific conditions outlined below.

By placing an order on SendMyCake.com, you explicitly agree to these strict terms and conditions.


1. “All Sales Are Final” Policy (Cakes, Flowers, Chocolates, Plants, Gifts)

Due to the nature of our products (Cakes, Fresh Flowers, Chocolates, Live Plants, and Gift Items), all sales made through SendMyCake.com are final. We do not accept any returns, exchanges, or requests for refunds once an order has been confirmed.

Our products cannot be restocked, resold, or reused once they have been prepared for dispatch or accepted by the recipient.


2. Order Modifications (Address and Schedule Date)

We understand that plans can change. You may request a modification to the Delivery Address or the Scheduled Delivery Date, subject to the following strict conditions:

A. The 24-Hour Cutoff

All modification requests must be received and confirmed by SendMyCake.com at least 24 hours prior to the start of your chosen delivery time slot.

B. Modification Procedure and Delivery Charges

To request a modification, you must email customerservice@sendmycake.com with your order number and the details of your requested change.

  • Address Change Charges: There is no separate administrative fee for changing the address. However, if the new delivery address is in a different delivery zone that requires a higher delivery fee, you must pay the difference in delivery charges before the modification is finalized.

  • Date Change: There are no fees for changing the delivery date, provided the request is made before the 24-hour cutoff.

C. Modifications After the 24-Hour Cutoff

We cannot accept any requests for address or date modifications within 24 hours of the scheduled delivery time. After this window, the order is prepared, customized, and dispatched, and no changes are possible.


3. Customer Responsibility for Delivery Information

It is the sole responsibility of the customer (the sender) to provide a complete, 100% accurate delivery address and a valid, reachable Indian phone number for the recipient within the Guwahati service area.

SendMyCake.com is not responsible for non-delivery or late delivery resulting from incorrect information or an unreachable recipient provided by the customer. We will not issue any refunds for failed deliveries caused by inaccurate contact details.


4. Terms for Invalid Numbers and Attempted/Non-Responsive Deliveries

If our delivery personnel successfully make a delivery attempt to the correct address, but the recipient does not answer the door, and attempts to contact the recipient go unanswered, the following mandatory terms apply:

  • Invalid Contact Number: If the recipient’s phone number is invalid, unreachable, or goes unanswered, we will attempt to contact the sender via the email address used for the order.

  • Order Status: The order will be marked as “Delivery Attempted” or “Non-Responsive.”

  • Item Custody & Forced Self-Pickup: The responsibility for receiving the product shifts entirely to the customer/recipient. You must contact SendMyCake.com immediately.

  • 24-Hour Disposal Window: Perishable items (Cakes, Flowers, and Chocolates) will be held at our office for a maximum of 24 hours after the initial delivery attempt. After this time, to maintain food safety and quality standards, the item will be disposed of.

  • Forfeiture: If the order is not picked up from our Guwahati office address within this 24-hour window, the order will be considered closed and forfeited. No refund or store credit will be provided under any circumstances for forfeited orders.


5. Disputes and Complaints

While we enforce a no-refund policy, we strive for customer satisfaction. If you are dissatisfied with the quality of a product (e.g., received a damaged or incorrect item), you must contact us at customerservice@sendmycake.com within 2 hours of receiving the order, providing high-resolution photographs of the received item.

We will review complaints on a case-by-case basis. However, any resolution provided (e.g., a replacement item or store credit) is entirely at the sole discretion of SendMyCake.com management and does not constitute a waiver of our No Return/No Refund Policy.
